Stray Voltage Testing

NYS Public Service Commission (PSC) established its electric safety standards to safeguard the public from exposure to electrical stray voltage and to identify and eliminate potentially harmful conditions before serious safety hazards and / or reliability deficiencies develop. Electric own utility companies as well as municipalities are required to test annually their streetlights along public thoroughfares for stray voltage.
